Nicole Stinson

Nicole Marques Stinson is a governance, strategy, and enterprise risk management leader with more than 20 years of experience across Crown corporations, government, and the non-profit sector. She is recognized for translating complex housing, infrastructure, policy, governance, and risk issues into clear strategies, actionable plans, and decision-ready reports for boards, executives, and government partners.

As Founder and CEO of Upside ERM Solutions Inc., Nicole provides strategic risk, governance, planning, operations, and enterprise risk management advisory services to government, non-profit, and purpose-driven organizations. Her work includes supporting organizations adapting to new government funding requirements, advising housing sector executives on maturing ERM practices, and delivering governance and planning training to non-profits managing major First Nations housing and infrastructure projects.

Nicole previously held senior roles at BC Housing, including Director, Enterprise Risk Management and Corporate Planning and Senior Strategic Advisor. In those roles, she led modernization of planning, reporting, and ERM systems; advised boards, executives, and ministers on housing, reconciliation, and accessibility initiatives; supported national housing strategy and funding agreement work; advanced ERM integration into corporate strategy and governance; and developed board reports, governance tools, compliance systems, and executive reporting processes.
